William C. “Charlie” Burba, age 95, of Hodgenville, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at his residence.
He was member and deacon at Long Run Baptist Church and Ovesen Heights Baptist Church; was an Army Air Corp veteran; farmed with his son, Bob, for 49 years; retired from Fishers Packing in Louisville after 33 years of service and loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Tootie Burba; a son, Phil Burba; two infant children, Connie and Timothy Burba; a grandson, Jeremy Greenup and a son-in-law, Larry Gaddie.
He is survived by five children, Bob (Diane) Burba, Charlene Gaddie, Vic (Liz) Burba, John (Vivian) Burba and Mark (Julie) Burba; a daughter-in-law, Carol Burba; 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bros. Don Gowin, Bob Boster and Gerald Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
