Obituary
John W. Gray, age 69, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin.
He was a retired insurance adjuster for Kentucky Farm Bureau, a graduate of Murray State University where he served as President of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, an avid antique collector and a proud grandfather.
John was preceded in death by his wife Ann “Rooney” Gray; his parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Baker Gray and a brother, Edward Gray.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Paul) Cooper of Hodgenville and Kathryn (Daniel) Tabb of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Asher Tabb, Caroline Tabb, Henry Cooper, Elizabeth Tabb and Charlotte Tabb; a sister, Vonda Gray of Hodgenville and a nephew, John Michael Gray.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Hodgenville United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
The family request in lieu of flowers donations in memory of John to Hope Food Pantry c/o Hodgenville Methodist Church 825 Tonieville Road, Hodgenville, KY 42748.
Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
