John Laird Obituary

John Forrest Laird, age 68 years, of Magnolia, passed away peacefully at his home, Thursday, February 20, 2020 surrounded by his family.

He was a trader, farmer and a picker. He was known to many as “Goat Man John”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Earlene Lloyd Laird and a brother, Larry Laird.

He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Cathy Laird; three daughters, Cari Wilken of Illinois, Nicole Taylor of Arkansas and Michele Morris of Magnolia; a brother, Timothy Laird of Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Mary Laird and Judy Laird; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Per John’s wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be a memorial service held at a later date.
