Joe Oliver West, age 73, of New Haven, passed away, Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin.
He was an army veteran of the Vietnam Era and a retired truck driver for Pepsi Cola and Keyboard Carriage.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Oliver and Rosa Frances Chriswell West; three sisters, Edna Frances West, Cassie Honeycutt and Bessie LaFollette; two brothers, Rine “Buddy” West and Raymond West.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor “Ellie” West; a son, Joey (Dawn) West of Springfield, Tennessee; three step-daughters, Lois Ann McNear and Rebecca (Detrick) Love all of Hodgenville and Melissa (Joe) Booher of Mt. Sherman; four step-sons, Michael Atwell, Richard Carter, Robert (Tammy) Hoback and James Hoback all of Hodgenville; three sisters, Dora Brown, Barbara Nunn and Betty (Quincy) LaFollette all of Hodgenville; three brothers, Lile (Peggy) West and Ernie (Vicki) West all of Hodgenville and Frank West of Dawson Springs; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, April 28, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Steve Campbell officiating. Burial will be 11 am Friday, April 30, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 9 am Wednesday at the funeral home.
