Jesse Mier

Jesse Alan-Thomas Mier, age 25, of Buffalo, left this world April 16, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

Born in Hardin County, February 28, 1998, Jesse spent his life in LaRue County surrounded by family that loved him. A country boy to his core, Jesse worked in construction and was proud of his craftmanship. In his free time he enjoyed being in the woods, exploring caves, driving the backroads, hanging out at the creek and observing God’s beauty in the form of a sunset.

Jesse would be the first to tell you that he had some flaws, but he had the kindest of hearts and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was a believer in Jesus and wanted others to know his word, often reading scripture in places that needed it most.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Gladys Meredith and a grandfather, Thomas Mier.

He is survived by his parents, Resha Meredith Mier and Brian Mier; two sisters, Megan Mier and Brittany (Andy) Fain; a niece, Alyssa Cochran; three grandparents, Mary Ann and W.T. Meredith and Martha Mier as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a puppy who are shattered by his passing.

In keeping with wishes of being a “Simple Man” funeral services will be held

3 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Shannon McCubbin officiating. Burial will follow on his family land where he grew up.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
