Jesse Henon

Jesse Henon, age 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away, Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He was a member of Rutledge Road Baptist Church in Louisville, a member of American Legion Post 113 and American Legion riders; he enjoyed racing cars, building model planes and flying them.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ethel Frances Seelye Henon; a sister Martha Michell; two brothers, Tommy and Buddy Henon.

He is survived by, his wife, Bernice Sherrard; two daughters, Frances (Murat) Ozyurt of Elizabethtown and Jessica “Jay” (Makayla) Henon of Arkansas; three sisters, Dorothy Simpson of Florida, Mayme Henon Downs and Mary Henon both of Louisville; a brother, Richard (Jamie) Henon of Campbellsville, two grandchildren, Kelsey and Ryan Wright; three step-children, Anthony Forrest of Florida, Sandy Coleman of Mississippi and Karen Forrest of Louisville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Monday and after 9 am Tuesday at the funeral home.
