Jeanette (Lile) Benningfield

Jeanette Lile Benningfield, age 93, of Hodgenville, passed away, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Tender Touch Heart and Home Assisted Living in Elizabethtown.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and typed the bulletin for many years.  She was also the 1st secretary of the LaRue County Extension Office and served for over 20 years.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Guy Benningfield; a son, Ricky Lee Benningfield; her parents, Sterling and Ida Mae Bagby Lile; three sisters, Keta Robinson, Delores Smith and Christine Crowe and a brother, Richard Lile.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Bob) Loebig of Elizabethtown and Ann Smith of Hodgenville; three sons, Edward (Dotty) Benningfield, Jr. of Columbia, Stephen (Leisa) Benningfield of Elizabethtown and Andy (Vicki) Benningfield of Hodgenville; a sister, Syliva Jo Grimes of Hodgenville; a brother, Terry (Bernice) Lile of Mississippi; six grandchildren, Sean Loebig, Amy Green, Mike (Lexi) Benningfield, Ricky Benningfield, Jr., Marsha Dobson and Amanda Hovious and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, April 18, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Bob Donat officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery near White City.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
