Helena Ruth Akridge

Helena Ruth Propes Akridge, age 92, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her daughter’s residence in Bowling Green.

She was a member of Friendship No. 2 Baptist Church and a devoted wife, loving mother and beloved grandmother.

Helena was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Akridge; her parents, Rev. Thomas and Goldie Mae Roots Propes; two sister, Elizabeth Brown and Sallie Akridge; two brothers, Dallas and Donald Propes.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Nobel of Munfordville and Dee Rheaume of Bowling Green; two sons, Dallas Akridge of Upton and Darold (Mary) Akridge of Magnolia; 10 grandchildren, Lori, Christi, Dani, Claude, Jenny, Malena, Ian, Thomas, Elizabeth and Kimmy; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, Bro. Steve Hussung officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
