Helen Jane Puckett Hines, 90, of Magnolia, passed away, Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of South Fork Baptist Church and a former member of Magnolia Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in choir. She was the former president of the PTO at Hart Memorial School and an amazing country cook, guys would come help on the dairy farm just for the meals she served.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Hines Jr.; her parents, George Washington and Robelia Hawkins Puckett; five brothers, Don, Hubert, Doug, Buiel and Houston Puckett; four sisters, Mabel Brent, Ada Whitlow, Georgina Magness and Audrey Puckett.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Gary) Puckett of Woodstock, Georgia and Sharon Hines of Upton; two sons, Randy (Suzanne) Hines of Magnolia and Ricky (Jamie) Hines of Sonora; 11 grandchildren, Chris Hines, Jimmy (Sharon) Puckett, Penny (Daniel) Dempsey, Paul (Brittany) Hines, Brad (Karen) Hines, Cora Beth (Jeremy) Williams, Chad Hines, Gavin (Courtney) Hines, Tristen (Bren) Hines, Savannah (Brandon) Clemons and Spencer Hines and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, September 11, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia, Pastor Paul Hines, Dr. Gary Puckett and Rev Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
