Hazel Delzinia Gardner Hodges, age 89, of Sonora, passed away, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her residence.
She was retired from Nationwide Uniform after 35 years of service, a member of Lincoln Memorial Baptist Church and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Elijah Hodges; her parents, Clarence and Sarah Salsman Gardner; four brothers, Ruben, Leo, Durred and Andrew Gardner.
She is survived by two sons, Don (Missy) and Dale (Regina) Hodges all of Sonora; two sisters, Edna (Handley) Milby of Mt. Sherman and Shirley Jones of Hodgenville; two brothers, Arlie and Junior (Nina) Gardner all of Hodgenville; seven grandchildren, Sabrina, Jessica, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jeanie, Kim and Steve; 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 8, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Bob Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memorial Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
