Harold Thomas “Tex” DeSpain, age 85, of Green County, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at his residence.
He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church for over 40 years, a lifelong farmer and attended Just Family Senior Care in Greensburg.
Tex was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Granville and Mary Lucy Thompson DeSpain; two sisters, Iris Jeanette DeSpain and Edna DeSpain and three brothers, Lewis DeSpain, Jerry DeSpain and Calvin DeSpain.
He is survived by a sister, Susie DeSpain of Mt. Sherman; a brother, Ron DeSpain of Mt. Sherman; three nephews, Ronnie (Crystal) DeSpain of Bardstown and Billy DeSpain and Donnie DeSpain, both of Mt. Sherman; two sisters-in-law, Elva DeSpain of Mt. Sherman and Jeanettia DeSpain of Hodgenville and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. (ET) Tuesday, November 15, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Cemetery in Mt. Sherman.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. (ET) Monday and after 10 a.m. (ET) Tuesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family to help with funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.
