Gwynn L. Domke, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at her residence.
She was born in Rochester, Minnesota and after high school she moved to Connecticut and worked at Deluxe Check Printers for 34 years. After retiring, she moved to Vermont for a little while and then settled in Magnolia, where she lived for 27 years.
Gwynn shared her home with her longtime friend, Olive Sansoucy, who preceded her in death along with her mother and father, Louise and Theodore Domke; a brother, David Domke; a sister, Janice Hennick; her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Waiting for her at the rainbow bridge are her best friends, Luck, Star, Rosey and Misty.
She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Schuett and her family and Carolyn Lyman and her family; special nieces, Maureen Engle, Deborah Lyman, Darla Dumonte, Allison Hanson and Taylor Loter Bauer and many other nieces, all that she loved; cousins, Gail Fieck and Nancy O’Neil; her wonderful friends and neighbors, Geri and her late husband, Ben Johnson, Donna and Allen Hunter, Welton and Martha Sanders and Anne and Adam Helm and many friends from her home church in Connecticut.
She has said many times that God sure put her in a wonderful place with help from Gordon Hash.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (ET), Sunday, December 4, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Richard Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
Visitation begins after 10 a.m. (ET) Sunday at the funeral home.
