Gracie Laverne Pottinger Howell, age 80, passed away, Friday, April 22, 2022, at her residence in Hodgenville.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church; her husband’s helpmate in his ministry for many years, a homemaker and was active in the Nolynn Association until her health declined.
Gracie was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joseph Nolan Howell; her parents, Jesse Gordon and Valeria Slayton Pottinger; nine siblings, Floyd, Hazel, Clarence, Johnny, Charles, Jr. and Oliver Pottinger, Bernie Fulks and Ann Riddell.
She is survived by two sons, Rickey Howell of Magnolia and Mark A. Howell of Hodgenville; three grandchildren, Austina (Jeff) Brittain of Weatherford, TX, Brandy (Ed) Baumgardner of Elizabethtown and Andrew Lowenson of Magnolia; four great-grandchildren, Jayden Brittain, Ashlee Clark, Alexia Clark and Alyssa Clark.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26 at 2 p.m. (ET) at Dixon-Rogers in Magnolia with Bro. James Crim officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. (ET) Monday and after 10 a.m. (ET) Tuesday at the funeral home.
