Gordon Douglas "Doug" Poteet

Gordon Douglas “Doug” Poteet, age 59, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020, at his residence.

He was a Master ASE Certified Mechanic and Auto-Diesel Instructor at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and a Kentucky Colonel.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Poteet; a sister, Deborah Sue Hill and a brother, David Wesley Poteet.

He is survived by two sons, Kirk Poteet and Wesley Poteet, both of New Orleans, LA; his mother, Mary Frances Poteet of Lebanon and two brothers, James Conway (Sandy) Poteet of Lawrenceburg and Donald Allen (Dawn) Poteet of Hodgenville.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, May 25, 2020, at Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville with Rev. Roger Pepper officiating. 

Visitation begins after 10 AM, Monday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville.

It is requested that all visitors please wear a mask or face covering.
