Clarence Ray Thompson, age 73, of Mt. Sherman, passed away, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at his residence.
He was an Army veteran having served in Vietnam, a self-employed welder, mechanic and jack of all trades.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pearl Slayton Thompson; a sister, Versie Clopton; eight brothers, Gabriel, William Douglas, Leamon, Jesse, Joe, Edward, Hank, and Alvin Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Thompson; his daughter, Nicki Graham of Mt. Sherman; two grandchildren, Tara Hutcherson and Cody Clan; three great-grandchildren, Lexi Hutcherson, Taygen Hutcherson and Brayden Clan; two sisters, Geneva (Buddy) Milby of Magnolia, and Martha Turner of Hodgenville.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Dale Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery near Mt. Sherman.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
