Avery Rae Harned, age 18, passed away, Sunday, January 8, 2023, at her residence.
After graduating from LaRue County High School in 2021 where she obtained many credit hours at ECTC, Avery was currently attending U of L pursuing Law School. She had been accepted into the Air Force Academy for the fall of 2023. She was employed at Hinton’s Orchard, where they took her in as family. Avery was a former member of 4-H, she loved spending time at the beach and being outdoors, shooting sports and hunting, all the while doing it in the most fashionable style. She was the most beautiful girl in the world, whether she was dressed up or getting dirty on the farm.
She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Virgil Harned.
Avery is survived by her mother, Amy (Nathan) McClure of Hodgenville; her father, Patrick (Jen Patton) Harned, of Louisville; grandparents, Emily Harned of Louisville, Barry and Teresa Shumate of Upton, Cathy and Dale Morris of Hodgenville and Jack McClure of Buffalo; great-grandmother, Florine Langley of Louisville; her aunt, Teri (Andrew) Thomas; her uncle, Chad (Amy) Harned; cousins, Carter, Noah and Hayden Harned, Kayleigh and Clayton Thomas and her boyfriend, Russell Young; as well as many honorary aunts, uncles and friends who were like family. She was loved by so many.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 13, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home, Bro. DeWayne Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday January 12 and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
