Verner Felix Miller, age 95, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
He was a member of Barren Run Baptist Church, a WWII Army veteran having been a POW for over nine months and was a Purple Heart recipient. Verner was a retired rural mail carrier for the Hodgenville Post Office and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin and Dora Frances Druen Miller; a brother, a half-brother and three half-sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Faye Middleton Miller; a daughter, Donna (Dave) Petterson of Bowling Green; two sons, Jerry (Frances) Miller of Elizabethtown and Greg Miller of Hodgenville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Barren Run Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Underhill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Tuesday and after 9 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
