Melvin Whitlow

Melvin Whitlow, age 84, of Creal, passed away, Friday, September 6, 2019 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

He was a farmer and a painter and attended Dezarn Chapel in Creal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas “Bill” and Stella Mae Vaughn Whitlow, a sister, Gracie Milby and two brothers, Earl Whitlow and Roy Whitlow.

He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Ruby A. Whitlow; three daughters, Sue (Darrell) Williams of Elkton, Ann Whitlow Lewis of Creal and Vicky Whitlow Heath of Magnolia; a son, Bro. Guy Whitlow of Bloyds Crossing; a daughter-in-law, Connie Whitlow; seven grandchildren, Tammy, Kelly (Megan), Miranda (Dillan), Keribeth (Dustin), Whitney (Dylan), Courtney (Jake) and Kayla and eleven great-grandchildren, Colton, Brayden, Ayden, Ryan, Raegan, Aubrey, Oliver, Emmie-Kate, Kasen, Remi and Willow.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM (EDT) Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. George Blevens officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dezarn Cemetery in Creal.

Visitation will be 3-8 PM (EDT) Monday and after 9 AM (EDT) Tuesday at the funeral home.
