Joseph C. Perkins, age 58, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Louisville.
He was a member of Aetna Union Baptist Church and was a long-time truck driver currently driving for KY Trailer Services. Joe was a loving dad and a proud pappaw; his favorite pass time was tinkering with his tractors. A kind and considerate man, he was always willing to help and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Milby Perkins; his parents, Rev. John Arthur and Hazel Pauline Hazelwood Perkins and a brother Lonzie Perkins.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Nathan) Hall of Magnolia; a granddaughter, Evie Hall of Magnolia; a sister, Wanda (Harold) Carter of Greensburg; two brothers, Russell (Jo Anne) Perkins of Hodgenville and James (Brenda Ginn) Perkins of Sonora; a sister-in-law, Tammy Engle Perkins of Green County and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home with Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 to 8 PM, Friday and after 10 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.
