Dorothy “Dot” Louise Gray Lewis, age 90, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She was a member of Ovesen Heights Baptist Church, where she was the Sunday School Nursery worker for many years. She loved visiting with her “back row Baptist” friends, Koochie, Kathy and Jo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, S.C. Lewis, Jr.; her parents, Wilbur and Maggie Gray; two brothers, Leonard and Garland Gray; a sister, Glen Helen Nunn and a step-grandson, Todd Lewis.
Dot is survived by her son, Larry (Sally) Lewis of Hodgenville; her grandsons, Tom (Victoria) Lewis of Hodgenville and Tim (Laura) Lewis of Elizabethtown; her great-grandchildren, Kenzi and Samuel Gus Lewis, Mason and Jana Rothrock and Wesley Lewis; one very precious great-great-granddaughter, Ellie Grace; her sister, Mattie Spratt of Elizabethtown; a sister-in-law, Stella Ballinger of Hodgenville; her step-son, Eddie (Linda) Lewis and his children, Donna (Trent) Snyder, Troy Lewis, Christy (Wes) Waddle and Travis Lewis and their children and grandchildren; very special friends, the Steve and Beth Cox family and many loved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Merrill Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow in Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Tuesday and after 9 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
