Charmaine Bryant Bale, age 86 years, of Elizabethtown, formerly of Hodgenville, passed away, Friday, October 26, 2018, at The Willows at Fritz Farm in Lexington.
For 62 years, she was the beloved wife of Benny Bale. They were married on December 24, 1952, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Born July 13, 1932, in Horse Cave, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Frank and Mary Willie (Galloway) Bryant. She was saved by faith and baptized in the Baptist Church.
Charmaine was a homemaker, devoted wife and mother, and loving grandmother. She was a dedicated wife who accompanied her husband as he served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1971.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
She is survived by three daughters, Teresa Korsgaard of Richmond, Kentucky and her husband Dan Korsgaard, Tammy Shoffner of Hodgenville and her husband Bobby Shoffner, and Laura Vuleta of Elizabethtown and her husband Dan Vuleta; a son, Michael Bale of Moline, Illinois and his wife Mary Beth Bale; six grandchildren, Tiffany Shoffner Merriman (Travis), Melissa Gaddie, Bradley Shoffner, Stefanie Vuleta, Emily Vuleta, and Daniel Vuleta; two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Cameron Merriman; a sister, Marjorie Goodman of Munfordville; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial will follow in Aetna Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Summersville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM, Monday and after 10 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
