Arvil Morris Catlett, age 93 years, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, March 26, 2018 at Helmwood Healthcare Center in Elizabethtown.
He was a retired farmer, member of Magnolia Baptist Church and an Army veteran serving during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Cynthia Mather Catlett, five sisters, Gladys Maier, Evelyn McCubbins, Catherine LeGrande, Betty Rose and Lorena Russell and four brothers, Raymond Catlett, James H. Catlett, Harding Catlett and Lloyd Catlett.
He is survived by his wife, of 71 years, Helen “Tootsie” Catlett; three sons, Lawrence Ray “Larry” (Rebecca) Catlett of Ft. Thomas, Charles Edwin “Charlie” (Dale) Catlett of Brazil and Dr. Arvil Glenn (Doully) Catlett of Hodgenville; two brothers, John Thomas Catlett of Cecilia and David Catlett of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with Bro. Neal Price officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday and after 9 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
