LaDean Mather Self, age 93, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Signature Healthcare in Elizabethtown.
She was a member of Union Christian Church Sunday school teacher, youth leader and active in her church; longtime member of Crosstown Hometown Homemakers, past LaRue County Homemakers President. She was a charter member of Unit 87 American Legion Auxiliary and past District President of the American Legion Auxiliary; served on the Lincoln Museum Board, past President of Lincoln Days, Inc., volunteered for the American Red Cross, Relay for Life and many years for Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
LaDean was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kenneth “Todd” Self; a son, Charles Marcus Self; her parents, Perry and Evelyn Riley Mather and a sister, Margaret Kennedy.
She is survived by two sons, John Self of Boston, MA and Glenn Sigl, two brothers, Cecil Mather of Hodgenville, Merritt Mather of Louisville; two sisters, Pat (Jim) Hatcher of Elizabethtown and Alice Rock of Elizabethtown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Steven Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday and after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
