Emma Helen Warren Benningfield, age 84, of Hodgenville, passed away, Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a cashier for Abe's Market and Jr. Foods.
She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Benningfield; her parents, Dutch Ferrill and Elizabeth Durbin Warren; a granddaughter, Jennifer Benningfield and the father of her children, James Guy "Jig" Benningfield.
She is survived by four daughters, Karen Benningfield and Pamela (Dewey) Thompson all of Campbellsville, Shawn (Troy) McCorkle of Vine Grove and Shane (Dennie) McCoy of Fairdale; a son, James Aaron (Donna) Benningfield of Hodgenville; a sister, Carla Ermine (Herman) Evans of Mt. Sherman; a brother, Paul Warren of Mt. Sherman; ten grandchildren, Blake Milby, Gabriel (Shelbie) Hellard, Bradley (Amy) Bloyd, Kyle (Cecile) Bloyd, Justin (Kim) Thompson, Michelle Benningfield, Danielle (Drew) Elliott, Ashley (Andrew) Hancock, Dennie McCoy and Luke McCoy and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, February 9, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Rev. Gerald Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Old Sherman Cemetery in Mt. Sherman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM, Thursday and after 9 AM, Friday at the funeral home.
